History

One of the oldest buildings in Prestbury is the Priest’s House, a timber-framed black and white building dating back to about 1448.

Directly opposite is the parish church of St Peter, a building largely of the 13th century which was restored in 1879 by Sir George Gilbert Scott.

In the churchyard you will find the Norman Chapel which was largely rebuilt in 1747 and the remains of a Saxon Cross.
